Renowned for its reliability, Kohler’s 12RES generator is suitable for both standby and off-grid applications. The 12RES uses Kohler’s premier commercial grade CH-740 engine to produce 12kW of clean, stable power (10.4kW using natural gas) which homeowners should feel comfortable using with all appliances and other sophisticated electronics. Additional total surge capacity of 32kVa is available as needed.
Thanks to its polymer base, the 12RES does not need to be installed on a poured concrete pad. Instead, it can be safely installed on gravel, which reduces both time and cost of installation. The 12RES operates at a neighborhood-friendly sound level not exceeding 65 dB(A), and can restore power during an outage in as little as 10 seconds.
As Kohler’s “no frills” approach to backup power, the 12RES includes the ADC-RES Controller pre-mounted to the generator. This simple three-button control pad’s LED display shows system status and setup information, and is ideal for homeowners comfortable with independent use and maintenance of their equipment. Kohler’s basic OnCue Generator Management System is sold separately, as are all other accessories including the recommended CH740 Maintenance Kit.Warranty:
